Hold an ice cube over the gum on the couch until it gets hard. The melting ice will not harm microfiber couch because it’s designed to have water to roll right out of it. Remove the gum off of the couch as soon as it completely hardens. This allows you to remove the rubber in a lump instead of trying to pull it off in pieces.
Spray the gums and the surrounding area with WD-40 if you failed the ice. WD-40 is safe to use on your briarwood microfiber sofa and is effective at removing sticky items. Use a cloth to take hold of the glue and remove it from the couch. Continue to use WD-40 on the gum until you have completely removed it.
Remove the yolk of an egg and keep it white. Place the egg white around the edges of the gums. Let it sit there for five minutes. This is a good method to use if you are not thrilled at the idea of using WD-40 on your briarwood microfiber sofa. Use your fingers to work the gum off the couch. Carefully slide the egg white over the edges of the gums until it starts to come up. Keep doing this until you get to the middle of the rubber. Pull chewing gum rest of the way off.
